Miami 8 - Cincinnati 3
The Miami Marlins got their first win of the season tonight in cincy. Omar Infante got 3/4 of the cycle, a 2b, 3b,and a hr. If Omar did get the single he would have been the first Marlin to ever hit for the cycle. Giancarlo Stanton had a great night too. He went 3 for 5 and he got 3 RBI. Nolasco went 8 inn, gave up 3r and 6h and he got the w.
No roster sheet will you help you now, puny mortal.
Sadly, this happened a lot while I was in Arizona, especially for the split squad games.

Tebow is going to New York
Tim Tebow has been traded from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets
Imagine, if you will, The Go! Team being offered millions of dollars to team up with Belle and Sebastian and then, after having their souls sucked out with a complex soul-machine, writing a song for a mid-90s Olsen Twins straight to video set in Miami. If you can do all of that, you may have a rough approximation of what the above song sounds like.
And while this tune may not have been an actual commission from the team itself, like Kleenex compared to tissues, no one will know the difference soon enough. At least it’s more enjoyable than Scott Stapp’s offering.
(h/t anyone that has ever written about the baseball on the internet)
It was a moment I will always remeber.
The Ugandan kids jogging up the dirt road. The Canadian kids lined up in anticipation. Big sports moments always give me chills, but nothing could compare to this. The kids were shy to begin with, but as soon as they shook hands, I know they must feel the connection among one another. There was mutual appreciation and respect for the fellow players. For a moment I had to step back a bit from taking pictures to soak this all in. I know it’s only day 2 of the trip, but I have been so inspired by everyone here I know I am coming back again soon. Thank you baseball. Thank you kids. You have given me a new perspective on life.

It’s a good thing that this ad is only selling baseball because my credit card was already out by the time it was finished. Had the Hawks been peddling an Infinite Sadness Device, I’d probably have picked it up.
